Use the journal as your main checklist. Complete local quests, photograph requested subjects, and expand the critter compendium until you have enough stamps to unlock the next region.

01 / Prerequisites

Prepare before you start

  • ✓Reach the first region.
  • ✓Open the journal regularly.
  • ✓Keep at least one save before a long region sweep.

02 / Route

Follow the sequence

  1. 01

    Read the region checklist

    The journal groups quests, photo challenges, and other local objectives. Use it to see what is still open before wandering.

  2. 02

    Solve the nearby quests first

    Quest completions contribute stamps and often introduce the characters or mechanics needed by other journal entries.

  3. 03

    Photograph along the route

    Take requested photos and compendium shots while moving between quests so a single trip can complete several objectives.

  4. 04

    Check the stamp gate

    When the local checklist is nearly complete, return to the journal and confirm which stamps or region requirements are still missing.

  5. 05

    Move to the next region

    Once the gate opens, keep the old journal entries visible and return later for collection achievements that span the whole game.

03 / Common mistakes

Do not make completion harder

Do not assume combat or timer pressure; TOEM 2 is built without time limits or tricky full-completion requirements.

A quest marker is not the only reason to photograph a subject.

A region can contain separate collection achievements that are not required for its all-quests achievement.
