The critter compendium records creatures photographed in TOEM 2. Photographing every compendium critter unlocks Collect Them All.
Short answer. Photograph each new critter until the discovery is saved to the compendium. Revisit earlier regions when a journal gap or missing silhouette indicates a missed creature.

How it works
Critters appear throughout the environments and around quests. The official capture shows a successful recognition screen with a named critter and a “critter discovered” confirmation.
